Long days
Filled with nothing,
Just an emotional swirl of neglectful wishing,
Another text pings,
The unholy connection to the world,
Resounds in the echo chamber of our souls.
As we search for the oyster pearl.
An empty society takes it toll,
On the invisible girl.
Who offered what she could,
But it was never enough.
At least she has her pills.
To survive all the long days.
Keeping her alive,
So her bills can be paid.
